Who has the GT 150 bicentennial?  Is that Joe Pivonka?

You know we have a Bicentennial one on CraigsList in St. Louis that has been for sale for a long time.  I talked to him last fall and it sounds like it is in good shape and all original.   Not sure where he would come out on price.

I hope to get to Red Wing next year with my GT160.  It sure looks like a lot of fun.  I have to take my son to college tomorrow and I go back to school on Tuesday so it wasn't in the cards this year.  I was on the Mississippi River near St. Louis this past Sunday and the thought crossed my mind that maybe I should just head up the river rather than trailering!  It was a beautiful night and the river was in great shape.   I have been as far as Hannibal by water and have always thought that would be a fun adventure.   I knew two 17 year old boys when I was in high school that did it in a 16' aluminum StarCraft with a 65HP Merc and thought that was the coolest thing ever.

For all of us that wish we were there, we are looking for Day2 pictures, just so you know. Have a safe Saturday!

Even from 350+ miles away, that 160 is the coolest boat there.  Someday I will have one in my driveway.

I know Gregg answered it, but yeah, Joe P had a good time I believe.  He ran all the way up to Hastings and back, only to run out of gas 2 miles from the Marina.

Hope to see him next year!

Day Two was spent running up river, which was the coolest trip yet for me...and then Terry, Joe P, Shawn, and others all checking out Goldie to figure out why she ran a grand total of 200 yards on the Mississippi River this year.

I took Zero pictures...sorry guys!

I wish we had a picture of that! We were behind you when you guys nose dived through the huge waves. Water flew way over the bow.

Yes it looked like quite a soaking, when we got to the no wake zone they were all standing up and wringing shirts out. It was fun following through the wakes of the two big  boats after Gregg and crew crashed through.

Bring it to Rathbun in the spring ... :-)  You can leave it with me all summer, and I'll return it at Red Wing.

All kidding aside, I'll take you up on the offer.  I love the look of that boat and would want one just to have it around - kinda like that Sunday driver convertible that stays in the garage.

Thanks Jeff ... looks good.  I've only seen them in that avocado color and the red.
Courtney's job is going to keep us here until next August, at least.  I am tired of trying to make architectural work turn out for me with long distance clients in the Midwest, when all my experience is in south Texas.  I start classes next week - Intro to Law, Evidence Theory & Practice, and Business & Corporate Law.  At least until my tuition is paid for, a new boat is just going to have to sit around and wait for me.  I'll be driving back and forth to Des Moines A LOT this fall & next spring ...
