Newbie...hello there!
« on: June 11, 2010, 02:04:23 PM »
Hi:
My name is Matt . live in Illinois.
I have been slowly getting into the boating scene. We go up to Chetek, Wi yearly for little vaca. time....
I enjoy older boats than newer ones, why I have no Idea...
Current boat is a 15' Arrowglass tri hull...runabout / bowrider...i use FB website.

I really wanted a Glastron but couldn't find that right one.
Now for some reason I want a GT...would like one to re-do or if i can score a reasonable good priced one I will go that route....

any way enough of that....

Hello!
   ;)

I saw those 160's too and have had the nutty idea of getting another boat and probably something like that. 150's are a little smaller then what I want. Both of those in Iowa?
I dont think I've seen the yellow one lately. Thought it was sold?

Oh and welcome Matt
Yes you can find a GT reasonably priced. Depends on how much work you want to do.

Yep, both are in Iowa...the ad on the yellow in is still active...guess it could be sold, I wasn't following that build as closely as I could have been.

Yes you can find a GT reasonably priced. Depends on how much work you want to do.

the yellow one I called on..real nice honest guy.....problem was not a whole lot to work with.....unless you were wanting to dive shoulder deep into a project....no seating...cracked wind screen...some trim was missing....the other I did npt call on....

I looked around the Minn Craiglist...and i think if i super serious I'll be going to Minn for a couple days looking...already saw a few prospects but timing is everything, for work and well being able to get away.......thanks

Matt -  If you find something in the twin cities(Mpls./St. Paul) area that you might be interested in don't be afraid to start a post and ask if someone locally can go take a look at it for you.

Hello to you Mr.Newbie; I'm new to fiberglass boat scene. I just became the owner of 1962 Starflite Deville with a hard top. I've owned and still own wooden boats but I found this boat on Craig's list. Been reading a bit about transom and stringer replacement because that's what the boat needs. I'm interested in becoming a CGOA member but I'm unable to find an application. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance. Bob nsbrakemanbob@gmail.com
