You can't believe how hard it was not to offer him $100 over the phone.
"I don't need another project…
I don't need another project…
I don't need another project…
I don't need another project…"
But I still want it really bad, Maybe the lack of flake is the dealbreaker :/

From what I can see in the pictures, those seat bases are all broken up. What he needs is a set of NOS seat bases.

One seat base had no cracks but would need to be painted. The other seat base had some cracks.

Windshield looked PERFECT!

Floor looked shot. Transom probably needed worked. Was lined with aluminum on the inside but the outside looked straight.

I think $200 for the boat would be a good deal, it needs a modern trailer anyway, easy to come up with when ya got a little time to shop, they are a great little boat.

That trailer is too small for the boat and isn't worth $250. So I agree buy the boat & let him keep his trailer.

If he has a 150 out there ... I'm in need of a windshield.  I have all the framework, but my plastic is shot.  If he's got the boat cheap, maybe I can offer half for the windshield only ... I wouldn't want to have to get rid of a boat.  Unless .... I could get some steel work done on it and make it a giant floating grill to tow around to the beaches ...

Looks like it has potential Joe, congrats!

Dan, I've got the (paper) template for the GT150 windshield if you need it, you're welcome to borrow it.

I made one good one out of the two I ended up with. Its funny that many of the parts were not interchangeable. I happened to end up with another one when I got my stuff from NY

Nice grab Joe. It looks to be worth restoring. I've been a fan of 160's for some time. Hopefully you wont have to completely redo everything.
Does this move the X19 down the list? ;D

Well you're just gonna have to split her and make it easier on yourself. Let me know when you get to that part if you need a hand.

Congrats Joe!! You are like the animal shelter for boats! If I had the space, I would have queue also plus more time to work on them because I would be single....lol. Love the 160, they are very cool.

Yes Doran... you are correct, i think that may be the last one left in his collection (several were lost in a fire a few years ago)
That old chevy is another "may get to it someday" project in waiting.
this is at Laurie's Dads farm in clear lake WI, once he explained to me that he was always afraid of not having something to do or work on.
so there are many projects in waiting there.
