Got it all back together and ready to splash. Should be fun to take out in a couple weeks if weather here in So Cal hold up.

just got my castle washer from Amazon today. I can at least bolt on the prop before I get the new extended trim tab.

You can run it without the tab, just lots of torque steer.
Some props have more torque steer then others.

Be on the lookout for Bill and Ted! Good luck in your sea trials, be sure to carry hand tools to adjust the trim tab, and for unforseen new boat issues.

It went amazing. With the original big prop (not the 23P) I was up to 35 MPH on the speedo at about 3200 RPM. I didn't pin the throttle, figured Id just do a few jaunts here and there to work the engine. It got to almost 160 on the gauge. Oil pressure never dropped below 35. It was a success (I don't really trust any of the gauges though... anyone agree?).

It’s great to hear the outing was a success, as all of our water up here turned hard last week it’s encouraging to hear. As far as the gauges go i used to always miss trust electrical gauges, I always used mechanical stuff in my automotive projects that’s just not practical in a boat. I’ve had a mishmash of original and old-school gauges in all of our boats, and have never really given me any trouble, but as always “trust but verify “

Modern gauges and sensors have come a long way. I tend to believe those, but you could always verify oil pressure with a tee and a mechanical gauge. Good to hear your trials went well, 35 mph at 3200 RPM is doing well, I would guess higher rpms if towing skiers was your thing. No more boating this season for us, was 7 degrees this morning.

It was a beautiful day and only as couple other boats out. Only bummer was you couldn't walk the boat up to the trailer, you had to drive it over and throw a line to someone standing on the tounge to get it on the trailer.
