By the look on your face Jerry, it appears you are having too much fun. Whats going on there? Well maybe I don't want to know.
Are you wearing pants?

Someone give him a bowl of water, I think he's been in the sun too long.  :D

I swapped places with the bolt and tank vent yesterday. More normal now. Bolt doesn't look too bad. The vent has two holes in it. Typical? I pointed one down and one back. Should do the trick. I had to use a washer around it however because of spider cracking. I sealed the bolt with 5200 and the vent with 4200.

I am near wrapping up the wiring, at least back in the motor area and can now finally get to some appearance issues. I had been trying to figure out what to do with that "chrome tape" that was on the dash and since I couldn't find anything exactly like it nor do I think it was all that good looking, I am changing it completely and ordered some 2 inch wide metallic pin stripping tape that I think will complement the interior. I'll finally have a Glastron with some metal flake. Getting the old stuff off wasnt too difficult but the glue they used is quite gooey. I had to pull the helm since the old stuff went under it but wanted to take it apart and check its condition anyways. I was please to find some relatively new looking grease in there. I am thinking about adding a zerk on this end.

Today I have to see if I can fix the dishwasher. Always something....

You know what? There was a member of the CGOA main a few years ago who actually lived near me about 45 minutes away, who had a source for that metalized mylar film on the dashboard. He was restoring an old Glastron at the time, a late 50's model with fins and an original hard top that used the same film on the sides of the boat. I was supposed to help him with some fiberglass work and he was supposed to get me some of the film but he never contacted me and we lost touch, I also haven't seen him on the board for quite some time. I'll see if I can find contact info for him. The name aurora_bob comes to mind but I can't find it in the member directory. He probably didn't re-sign back up after the great board crash of 2008.

There is some similar stuff (rotted) on my 61. It was just around the glove compartment I think but a lot smaller.
I'm actually getting kind of anxious to get back to that one but I don't think I want to keep it. So I guess I could stick 3-4k into it and sell it for 1800.00. Good deal.

Finally got ANOTHER set of spark plug wires (suppression) and got up the never to fire up the 350 with the new electronic conversion kit, coil, wiring harnesses, dist cap and a bunch of little changes. Fired up pretty fast for sitting since last fall. Only ran it a short time due to the jet being out of the water. We're heading out to a local lake today to beat on it a bit. Hope all goes well!
