Sorry for the false alarm. My bad. Stay tuned.

Stood right there'n watched my buddy upload it. Said upload successful? Wtf!?

Try again tomorrow.

edit. While you're waiting check out the Glastron vs Stingray vid. Dang I miss that boat. Madison's old birthday/silly string vid is purty funny. Sorry for the delay.

Mebbe I meant PG? To the best of my knowledge there was no nudity involved. 'Least on my boat. Cain't speak for JR and Jeremy ...

It handles purty good Ross. Feels more stable & less squirrely than the V153. But that's probly due to the fact it's wider'n heavier. Not to dis the Gtron, it was a much better boat in the choppy stuff.

Got the new wires in yesterday, 'bout freakin' time! Ain't they cute? $9 bucks a pop. Hoping they'll have some effect at least on my top end dilemna? Itching to put 'em on but the boat's over at my next door neighbors detail shop. We buffed a lil section of the bow over here a couple nights ago and the results were outstanding. We're expecting the end result to be dazzling. Stay tuned.

Looks like the same type of wire I've got on my engine. I didn't like the 90* ends/boots they provided for the distributor so I replaced them with straight ends.

Ignition problem solved, I think ...

Ran purty good overall. Dang plastic ratcheting hose clamp on the stb side of the exh manifold failed. Doused the motor again. Arrgh!!! Swiped the clamps off'n the bilge pump to get me through the day. Good thing I didn't need the pump ...?

No speed records due to a strong North wind. When it blows like that it really stacks up chop in the ditch. I'm guessin' it was a good foot'n a half or so. The 153 wouldn't of minded but not so with the Baja. Lemon Bay was nasty too'n the Gulf was way outa my league. Mebbe a new speed record next week ...?

Hey check out the buff & wax job my buddy Ryan did Saturday. This is one case where the picture does not do justice. The rainbow flake is simply freakin' dazzling. WooHoo!

Sunbrella/Baja
« Reply #232 on: April 14, 2012, 07:09:49 PM »
I pay about $20 bucks a yard for Sunbrella 60". Plus shipping. (The shipping is what kills ya btw.) 46" material is a lil cheaper, 80" is more expensive. Fyi every color is available in 46", most in 60", and a select few of the most popular in 80". If'n ya wanna step up to Sunbrella Plus or Sunbrella Supreme naturally there is a price increase.

Finally got 'round to givin' the 140 a thorough powerhead scrub. Still can't believe I doused her with salt water! Twice? Duhhh  Oh well we gave her a good scrub with some warm soapy water. Let her air dry for a few hours in the near gale down here. Geeze was the wind blowin'! Anyway then blew her off with compressed air'n saturated her with some 'Pro-Tect-It' corrosion inhibitor. Good stuff.

Hoping for a new speed record tomorrow. Stay tuned

Ran 55.9 today. Heh heh heh. Was hoping for a lil more? Oh well. Got pulled over by the hot blonde deputy on the way home from the ramp. Forgot to plug the trailer lights back in. She let me off with a warning.

Am kinda proud that I asked her out'n didn't get tased or shot. Who knows, I do have a degree in Criminal Justice?

That is where the Glastron has an edge over the Baja. With a Glastron, you would have had a date. With a Baja, you go home alone.

I think yer onto something David. After all "Glas" rhymes with "Class"? Baja rhymes with what ... Ha ha? Heh heh heh

Have to go now. Just me'n my fantasies. Honestly do think Deputy Debbie likes me? Quite frankly nothing turns me on more than a good looking woman wearing body armor & carryin' a honkin' sidearm ...

Ya she ran purty good yesterday Gregg. Still got a few wrinkles to iron out but overall it was a good day. Took a buddy, then another, for rides. They were both duly impressed. This hull comes outa the hole and/or accelerates like a freakin' ballistic missle.

Yo Jerry. My problem is I don't spend enough time on Snake Island ...  Only out there for a few hours on Sunday?

Btw finally got a definative answer as to what to set the pole switch to on the OMC tach. As I suspected it was calibrated incorrectly. Knew it was readin' low. Now if I kin just figger out how to calibrate the tiny tach to jive. Ironically the tiny tach matched the OMC before so now we know it was wrong too?

My brain hurts ...

edit. Did some calculations based on Sunday's gps data and/or fuel consumption. Reckon I was burnin' a quart a minute @ wot. I'm "green" in other ways I s'pose, but when I'm in my boat I prefer to haul a**'n burn gas ...?
