Any C-500 Metric owners?

I was wondering if anyone here also owns a C-500 Metric? Or maybe a previous owner?

I recently noticed that I only have one steering line on this boat. I like to drive fast and take hard turns and I think it might be a smart idea to have a second steering line added but don't want to make any visible modifications to my boat.

Also noticed trim slowly drops (1' in 15 minutes), ideas?

Lastly, bought the boat with a cracked windshield, anyone know where I could find one 'cheap'?

I think your hull is or is very close to a CVX hull, same LOA for both models (16' 7 3/4") and beam is 79' .
Just the deck was changed ... I think ...

Daximus installed and had great performance with the Teleflex Baystar Hydraulic steering, with two lines you might have to cut your splash well.

I have a red '81 in pre-project phase. Though it is gutted for the most part. Can't help with a windshield, mine's cracked around the last couple screws on the stb side.

Yeah Teleflex recommends dual cable for speeds over 55 but that's probly a lil conservative. If you do go that way I don't think you'll have to modify the splashwell, since all you're doing basically is adding another cable? Jerry might be able to answer this question.

Sounds like the trim cylinder's leaking internally, shouldn't be a big deal. Probly a seal/O ring on the piston(s).

I believe there are 2 other metrics in the club. Aquamaniac (Dane) has and outboard and MetricC512_BarFly (Dan) has an I/O
