New Towed Vehicle!!
« on: April 21, 2014, 06:12:35 PM »
For as long as I can remember we have talked about when we get us both retired, seeing America by way of RVing.  Well that time is near, sometime in the next 12-18 months it will become a reality.  Signed the contract on this one this past Saturday, and will probably take the one ton down to Wichita Falls TX., sometime in the next two weeks to pick her up.   It's a big un, kinda scary to think about backing and parking it.  Couldn't figure out how to get the pics from the website to to the forum.  I guess if I mention that I will probably get the Intimidator out of the barn when I get the one ton that qualifies as boat related.  We are super excited!

Wow, that's nice! I like how they made the area over the "tongue" into a living area instead of just throwing a bed up there like most do. Looks like it's too long to tow a boat behind though...  ;D

WOW!  Very nice indeed!  Looks like it has everything except a Glastron Cave!  It will be a beast to haul but well worth it when you get it parked!  Congratulations!  How many guest rooms??   ;D

Very nice looking rig, hang a receiver on the back and pull a Glastron.   Legal in NE considering the first hitch point is 5th wheel attachment.   Not saying its much fun to tow, but legal here.   Now may you find time to put it to good use.

I know, right!?  That thing is much nicer than my house.  And I'm having visions of parking at this lake for a while, then moving to that lake for a few months.......

You and Kat know how to do it up right Barb, I'm proud for ya!

Well, the day finally arrived to take possession of the new RV.  So, on Wednesday I went to Wichita Falls TX and picked it up.  The old F350 squatted a little bit pulling six and a half tons, but never missed a beat and got me and the RV back to Edmond OK just fine.  Can't say that my anxiety factor was not on overload.  Whew!!!!   I was so proud to get it home and parked in the storage safely that I forgot to take pictures.  It has that LCI automatic leveling system on it, and what a great feature.  Just unhook, push auto level and watch all 6 hydraulic jacks just take over! When it's time to hook back up I push a couple more buttons and it remembers the position it was unhooked in, and I can back right under it to hook up. Nice!  I'll try for some pics next week.  Won't be able to take it out until sometime after the Rathbun meet.  We are sooo excited!!!
