" Look's good ! "

" Yeah, Gregg's being nice. "

We all got our boat's for a different reason, style, color, speed, lay out, etc. etc.
If it works for you ... Go for it !

But remember ... I also like try-haul's & pontoon's ...

There are days when I wonder if adopting a no boat rule would make life a bit easier.  Just dropped another grand in the cvz for repairs, corrections, and upgrades.  Will we see Goldie in June or the Glastron Ciara?  If I have not previously stated so, congrats on the new boat purchase.  If it gets the whole family out on the water then the decision to buy was a good one.

It would...it would indeed.

I'm unsure which boat will be at Rathbun.  Marissa wants to bring the Ciera...but there are only a few safe spots in the floor to walk/stand...and it needs more attention than Goldie.  At least with Goldie, I know I just need to mount the tank & hook it up...she'll be good to go for the summer.

The Ciera needs an impeller change, block plugs put back in, and some shakedown time at a minimum.  (4 new tires wouldn't hurt either.)  At only 2700 lbs, a tandem axle trailer seems a tad excessive, though I suppose all the onboard fuel & freshwater storage tanks...it could become much heavier.

Planning to get the big girl home soon and dig in.

(I have to do it covertly as I'm on a 24 hour watch to get Graduation party projects done first...and we all know we have to keep the General happy.)

Plus, I have like 4 new props I've won to try on Goldie...a pretty rare one too!

Any four blades?  I've conversed with numerous shops about props and I get conflicting answers.  What is the base prop for a stock z?  As for bringing the big "girl" to Rathbun, I would not see an issue being a non Glastron.  Might even see the other half of your family there.

My 2 cents on props ...

" I've conversed with numerous shops about props and I get conflicting answers. "

The only real way to know if a prop will work for you is to test it.
Test as many as you can, will shop let you test props ?

But you probably already know this ...

I should say, that all my composites are only rated to 260HP...which means you probably can't even try them, you'll probably fling the blades right off!

Flounder !

Sorry ....
My neighbor nick named my old Marquis .. The Sea Slug.
Now every boat I've had since has been ... The Majestic Sea Slug I ,  The Majestic Sea Slug II , etc.
The Four Winn's was the "Foul Winns" because of the porta potty chemical smells.

Give it some time, some one in the family will come up with a name ...

Omaha marine has allowed me to select props, but I was thinking that it was aluminum only.  Worked good for the 16ss, took several tries to get it right.  I have a quicksilver 25p on it now.  May try a four blade alum prop from Omaha marine for Rathbun.

Towed 'Something Else' home last night...holy crap is it a big boat.

(Guess that's what I wanted, but man)...I'm not honestly sure that the Avy is up to the job.  My Avy is a z66 which is the 'premium ride' pkg...and while I never felt unsafe, I sure did feel it.

Hoping to get a little time to work on it this weekend, but have a long list of things to do on the house to get ready for the graduation party.

I would like to bring it to Rathbun...but we'll see!
