Mini...
« on: April 29, 2016, 06:56:49 AM »
I'm not sure if you can see this video or not, but it's a pretty cute little boat. Didnt Tom build something like this? We saw it on Lake Magnor one Fourth of July

Pretty cool, but seems to be missing something........a Glastron swoop.      Curious to know how it is powered, trolling motor, pedals?

Sounds like a chain saw or weed wacker motor ?
Maybe one of the old powered surf board motor/drives ?

I have most everything to build one, including an old jet pump from an old 350cc stand up jet ski, just missing a child to put in it.  The jet drive at least would be safer than a prop.  Maybe next winter garage project, a 1/5 scale CV19 jet?  I was able to view the video, looks like lots of fun for the kids, could it be light enough to not require a trailer?

LOL, everything but the child.

Like you dont have any other projects to work on Mike?
Go for it. Having it powered bu a jet ski set up would be cool. Maybe it would fly.

Tom your boat is beautiful. Hoping to build something for my boys some day. A mini green CV16 would be awesome but will probably end up looking more like a rat-boat though!

Great looking mini-boat. Wish my fabrication skills were that good. My motto is......measure twice. cut once, buy more lumber and cut again

My old Air Force motto was "Measure with a micrometer, mark with chalk, cut with an ax"

It doesn't matter how much I measure and mark, I could use a scalpel and it would look like I used an axe.
