Some more pictures from the boat show.
The restored 16 CVSS looked gorgeous. The owner saw it for the first time at the boat show, taking the cover off it. Until then, Shipwreck would sent him samples of carpet, vinyl, and other items to choose from since he is from the Dakota's. The dash gauges are fantastic - make by Livorsi, including a GPS speedometer. Shipwreck told me the price range of the restoration project - still reasonable considering what a new purchase would be. The seat bases are compost so no rotting. Only wood left is in the deck. The owner is now thinking of repowering it. Shipwreck seems open to share the source of their many vendors. The rubrails used were purchased in 12' and 16' sections not from Taco. Scott said they have resin that is better than most stuff available (less fillers) and would sell in smaller quantities.
Don, from Retro Performance Marine, lives in the Twin Cities, and boats at Lake Owasso near me.
Thought Jerry Sellner was ignoring me until I found out it was Jim Sellner instead, his identical twin brother. Both great guys that loving boating to the core.
