Title: Lake Rathbun 2021
Post by: Plugcheck on March 24, 2021, 06:51:51 PM: Just an advanced FYI to anyone interested. June 17th thru Father's day June 20th will be the timeframe for Rathbun 2021. I will call the Marina tomorrow and see if anything new has developed since last year.

Post by: Plugcheck on April 01, 2021, 12:06:28 PM: Pretty much all the info is contained in the past years threads. We generally get a rv spot and slip at the Marina, since we cannot launch the boat with the RV. Many camping and some hotel options are available.

Fathers day weekend it is very hard to just pull in on a first come basis. Thanks for the info. I will check out previous years.

we usually tent camp in an RV spot so we are all together (mostly so we don't have to go anywhere after partying :O

We always go a day early to have a night of our own, so Thursday 17th thru Sunday the 20th is the normal meet. You're welcome to join us anytime though. One update that seems a bit odd, we cannot reserve RV campsites going forward in 2021. First come/first served. I was assured there would be plenty of spots though. Slips are reservable, we are in Jetty 8. The Marina will launch our boat for a small fee though since we cannot do that with RV, not sure if this applies to others. Ramp fee of $10. Plenty of other campgrounds all around lake Rathbun, if we were tent camping, I would consider the state park as an option. Take a look at previous outing threads on Rathbun, or feel free to ask questions. Always a good time, Marina has a store, fuel, supplies, and restaurant. I'd assume same Covid-19 protocols remain in place from last year.

Post by: 75starflight on May 20, 2021, 10:22:28 AM: Good news! Amber, myself, and family will be joining you all at Rathbun this year. Unfortunately we will probably not have a boat in tow. This will be due to Phoenix being in dry dock and not fired up for the last 4 years (hope to bring life back to her either this weekend or over memorial weekend).

Now to find a place for the 4 of us to stay.

Post by: Plugcheck on June 16, 2021, 09:51:40 PM: Across the stern shot at sunset, Rathbun 2021. Shot while parked on dam beach, the site of Rathbun 2011. CVZ-18. Had a bow shot with a German shepherd on the bow, but it was blurry, thought it would make a funny shot. Going to be hot this week, but better to be on the water than at home.
