Mark… I sure “feel” well into my 50s most of the time!   :(
 
My birthday wish was to spend the weekend up at Lake LBJ.  So, we’re taking in the Bluebonnet Airshow tomorrow (CAF, old WWII aircraft, my favorite) in Burnet TX, then over to LBJ for the rest of Sat & Sun.

Pulled the CVX out of moth balls, did some of the typical new season stuff… oil, spark plugs, fuel filter.  I also fixed a wiring issue (all my gauges on the dash work now  ;D), installed a new alternator, stereo and put my stern light bracket on.  Boat didn’t come with factory lights and I think I would like to keep it that way… so, using portable kayak lighting for a “get me home” option if I happen to get stuck out late.  It's not sexy, but gets the job done.  Think she’s ready to go for this weekend.

Wishing you all warmer weather and clear skies up north!

Mark

Boat looks good Mark. The lights don't have to be sexy, when in use all you're going to see is green and red. Well I guess red could be sexy.

I'm jealous that you will have the boat out this weekend we still have snow flurries in the forecast for tonight and tomorrow night.

That is one seriously good looking Carlson.   Hate to say it, but I may just copy that stereo mounting location in my Z.

Bad knee's, bad back, bad attitude, low T ...

That's funny Gregg...  concur, concur, concur, etc.

Well, you were right Doug... no pics, it didn't happen, at least the boating portion of our trip.  Airshow was great, but lake conditions... tooooo windy yesterday!  This morning, more of the same... gusts to 30 or more, woke up to the sound of the wind and watching the tree limbs waving over where the boat is parked (yikes).  There was no where else to park it.

Still, anytime we're on lake time, is a good time.
