Warm Weather Progress
« on: January 12, 2013, 03:21:11 PM »
We were mid-50's here yesterday, so I started one of my projects.  (Not mounted yet.)

I'm adding transom lights on a wireless remote so we can...well, I don't know what exactly, but I like 'em!

(Actually, when we're up North for the 4th of July, these should be pretty cool.)

Hoping for something like this, but the lake up North is so clear it should light up nicely!

cool!

They make those in green?

How do they mount? Need to drill more holes?

Yep, Green, Blue & White.  I have white.  You can spend upwards of $200/light, but these are a lower power less expensive version.  They should work just fine in a clean freshwater lake.

3 holes...which I'm not thrilled about...but it is what it is.  This obviously wouldn't do much in the Mississippi River, but in clear water should look awesome!  (Fish like them too.)

I'd bet it's more that the bugs like 'em ... and the bugs bring minnows and little fish, and those bring the big fish ...
At least that's always what I thought when we fished overnight with a submerged lantern.

I read that bugs aren't attracted to LEDs.

Yep, I'm hoping that's correct as well.  I also have LED strips for lighting the interior that will be going in as well.
