30 seconds after launch
« on: July 07, 2013, 12:51:00 PM »

Suggestions for a good cheap prop for this boat?
(78 SSV-177)

And can I hammer out the skeg? Or how to fix?

It's not stamped, but I had a 19p on the Bayflite and it worked just fine for me.

I'd be happy to take it off your hands. I'll PM ya!

I thought its an I/O. Looks like a mercruiser hub to me in the pic. But I could be wrong.

I have an alum 19 that came with my boat. Other wise Propulsion in Hudson should be able to fix that no problem.
I think this has become an addiction.

I would scrap the prop. In addition to Propulsion in Hudson to fix the skeg, Mark's prop shop in Stacy had fixed two skegs for me and is reasonably priced. But he is two weeks out on repairs.

Really stupid story. Backing the boat away from the launch, motor too far down, but never an issue at Square Lake (haven't been anywhere else with this boat) and hit a rock. We were in reverse and weren't even going very fast!
It killed the motor though!
