You said in another post Art Carlson started in 1960, I was wondering when he started Carlson Boats.
If dates are right on the brochures from CGOA's web site, that would be correct .. maybe ..
There was a C100 posted on one of the FB groups, check out the side emblem .. Looks like a serial number !

I guess maybe I should have worded that better. I don't know if anyone has a hard date that he started building boats or when the company was started or if it's even the same date. But for me it's just putting the pieces together from what I've found and read.

I couldn't find any other documentation stating that any production boat was built before the C-100 and the 1963 brochure says the C-100 is going on 4 years. That puts it at 1960.

Would be nice to know for sure though. Anyone know how to research when a company was founded in California???

Well, in Production years...1960-1963 is 4 production years...

OK .. late 50's.

Started designing in 57.
Started business in 58-59.
Maybe first production model was a 1960 coming out in late 59??

Kind of adds up.
