For Sale.

I'm working on selling my house and need to get rid of stuff.

Bought this last year for 2k. Put about $400 more into it plus about 20 hours of wet sanding. It has a full new wiring harness on the 115 merc tower. New fuel fittings and a few other things.

Transom was redone by a marine shop by the previous owner. Extremely solid both there and the floor.

The trailer is an all aluminum Glastron trailer. I bought new wheels, tires, hubs, bearings, etc. The trailer is like new.

Only bad thing is that it needs carbs. I took them in to the local shop and got screwed. Anyway, it ran well when I took them in to get rebuilt. Didnt really need to, but I had them off to diagnose a fuel supply air leak, so I thought why not.

I will sell it for what I paid and take a loss on all the parts and labor just because I have to pay for new kitchen cabinets asap.

2k takes it.

Please email me at bbergstrom260@gmail.com or text 6512605266

Thanks
Brian

ccgQrs12 / 1980 CVX 18 - $18k/Offer

"UPDATE 5/3/18: A few months back I went forward with the CVX20 so now I
have 3 GC's and I've got to let go of one of them. This CVX18 is a beauty
and someone's going to get a beautiful boat at a great price. I am open to
listen to reasonable offers but just keep in mind that this (boat) is a real
beauty. Feel free to send me a PM and we'll exchange #'s. The Boat is
located in Santa Rosa, Ca. and thanks for your interest. Curtis"

I don’t really want to sell it, I don’t have to sell it but I have the chance to purchase a mint, all original, CVX 20 and I won’t sell my Scimitar so I’m going to probe the marketplace for a OC-type like me who might want this Beauty!

I bought the boat from the second owner (original owner owned the boat for a bit over a year from new); a very low use (previous owner estimated that it had less than 120 hours on it and said this of his friend, the original owner, “he had built the motor up, cam and rollers shortly after he bought the boat from the local Glastron dealer”) and I probably have put 15 hours on it.

I had the boat transported (off-the-road) to California; when the boat went thru the State boarder inspection the State-employed Buffoon / Inspector insisted on seeing the “bilge” and before the transport driver knew it this 290 Lb Gorilla had cut the shrink-wrap and climbed up onto the engine cover damaging a near perfect all original boat (fractured the engine cover nearly all the way across -at the hinge). After a massive search for metal flake a really gifted “glass man” hand blended the flake to a perfect match, built up the cover (to make it more ridged), ground down the surface to the base color and re-shot the entire rear section of the boat to insure a perfect blending of both the gel-coat and the metal flake.

The trailer was disassembled and stripped. New wheel bearings, alloy wheels and tires, new lumber (redwood for the bunks and marine plywood for the steps) hardware and two new custom “tapered” fenders installed then painted (in Imron) and decaled to original – the only difference being that the original trailer decal said “GLASTRON” and the new one’s I had made state “GLASTRON-CARLSON”.

The original distributer had problems so it was replaced with a new HEI unit.
The original carburetor had been rebuilt by the previous owner however it was not functioning correctly; a new (not rebuilt) unit was installed.
The original “MR” series drive had failed; I elected to replace it with a new Alpha 1 unit.
Three of the original gauges were not working and finding suitable OEM replacements was not possible; all gauges were replaced, all but the tach and speedo fit into the original openings, modifications were required (to the original panel) to fit the larger diameter tach and speedo.
The upholstery required some stitching and panel replacement; I had upholstery made-to-match the original.  After this I was able to find a full-roll of material that retains the “marbling” look of the original, enough to redo the entire boat at some point and only if the existing were to be damaged. The upholstery, as it is, is exceptional. The carpet appears to be the original. The stern, floor and stringers are all solid. The boat has always been stored indoors.
The top and hull finishes are also exceptional. There are two very fine (so fine I can’t photograph them and only visible in soft light) spiders - one on each side of the boat @ the gunwale – approx. 18-20” from the trailing edge of the windshield frame.
Performance: The engine sounds “hearty” at idle! I’m not prone to firewalling the boat but I can tell you that acceleration (love the sound of the secondary’s) once the boat plains-out is a head-snapper and the top-end is somewhere beyond 68.5 mph (the last gps reading I was able to read before my skin color started to change!) I figure there’s another 4-7 mph left in it but I haven’t got the nerve to find out.

The Boat looks great in the pictures; it looks better in person and draws attention were ever I’ve taken it. I know that an $18k price tag may seem extreme and though well under what I’ve got tied up in it for what the boat represents someone may find it reasonable particularly if they were to go thru the expense of reproducing a CVX 18 of this quality and originality.

If you’ve a serious interest or know of someone who might feel free to PM me and we’ll exchange phone numbers. Curtis (ccgQrs12)

Hydrostream Ventura II Mercury XS1500 - $7500 (Elk River)
https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/boa/d/hydrostream-ventura-ii/6650633543.html

The package consists of the following.
1976 Hydrostream Ventura II. Boat is solid and has been re-cored with Balsa about 5 years ago. It also has a new transom etc. Professionally done. Metallic Orange and Purple gelcoat. When the boat was done, new gauges, new dual steering and 19 gallon fuel tank ( installed in the back). Boat is basic two seats, never got around to finishing the interior but it works as is. All new wiring and control cables. Boat does not leak!

1978 Original Mercury 1500 XS. RARE & COLLECTABLE found this motor about five years ago from the original owner. Still had the original spark plugs in it, was pickled and hung in a garage for years. Fuel lines were changed, carbs gone through etc. Added a V-6 Voltage regulator and a newer style gearcase to save the original. I have the original gear case with the low water pickups, which is like new and has never been repaired. Motor runs
beautifully! Screens on the hood are perfect, and again, this motor is a gem with very low time. This is a turn key package! If you know about these "towers of power" and are looking for a rare find, come and take a look. This is a "J" block engine. I added the power trim from the 1500 I used to have and updated the trim pump to a newer style Oildyne unit.

Trailer, Basic bunk trailer but solid and paint is very good. Tows perfect. Bearings replaced and packed last year. Lifetime registration.

It is hard to find one of these boats that is not rotten, and it is also very hard to find an original XS1500 in this shape, non molested. I would doubt you could find a nicer original motor.

I do not want to separate this package! $7500.00 OBO

Interior seats ans padding was replaced several years back and now just needs some new wood bottoms that we already cut. You can still enjoy the rest of Summer and fix seats this Winter. Solid trailor and newer custom cover..

976 Glastron Carlson CV19 Jet Boat - $7500
https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/boa/d/1976-glastron-carlson-cv19/6659424473.html

I am selling my 1976 Glastron Carlson CV19 jet boat. It is a 19ft 6 person boat. Powered by very strong 460 big block Ford V8 with Berkley Jet Pump and Jetovator with 512 hours. I am the second owner. The interior and top are 3 years old but like brand new. Used maybe 5 times since redone. Has Holly 780cfm carburetor. Everything on the boat works exactly as it should. Very powerful fast and fun little boat. Great for cruising the lake or pulling a skier. Only selling because I just don't use it anymore. The kids are grown and gone and i have no use for it alone. I got the boat back in 1984 from the original owner. The boat never saw salt water. I am looking to get $7,500 for it. I am not really looking to trade but if you got something cool, let me know. The worst I can do is say no. If you want to check it out let me know. It is currently being stored at my sons inside his shop in Piedmont. It can be viewed there or i can meet you at a local lake. Call or text me

1974 CV16 / 1973 CV16 / 1972 CV16 / 1974 GT160  /  Lisle, IL.  / $2500
https://www.facebook.com/groups/classicglastron/permalink/10156678714928594/?sale_post_id=10156678714928594

I have a 1974 cv16ss for sale. It has a new floor, stringer, and transom worth new carpet and 2 seat platforms for and kind of manufactured seat. Comes with a force 125 motor. Runs strong but something cuts the motor off after about 20 minutes of use. Motor had new impeller and has great water flow. Asking $2500.
I bought this boat for parts but a Co worker from my old job saw the boat and talked me into rebuilding it for him. He has no hitch, or way to move it or even place to park it. I don't want to have to do everything for him. So I'm trying to sell it to just give him back the money. I also am selling my other glastrons. His boat is the pink/purple one.

1972 Glastron CV16 - $1500 (Bristol NH)
https://nh.craigslist.org/boa/d/1972-glastron-cv16/6659910766.html

Win a piece of James Bond history!!!
1972 Glastron Carlson CV16 with a 1978 Mercury Tower of Power 1150 115 HP outboard.
CV16 is the upgraded larger model from the classic James Bond GT150.
Engine was tuned up with new plugs, and carb floats by the local marina this summer and ran like a top this season! Pulls skiers and tubes great with the 19" stainless prop, change it out and hit 45+ with the 21" aluminum prop.
Brand new white vynl seats, cushions, and interior panels.
Lights, power trim, steering, all engine controls functioning. Good condition galvanized trailer with bearing buddies.
The boat could use new floors and some fiberglass finish work. It would make an excellent winter project for a guy wanting to finally boat like their favorite childhood secret agent!
