New Bearing?
« on: May 25, 2012, 09:14:11 PM »
So I started the V184 for the first time tonight. Started right up no problems. Let it run for a while and started to get warm shut it down and figured that it was time to change the Impeller on the water pump. The 302/ Volvo has a raw water pump on the engine that has a pulley and a belt. Proceeded to take it apart and the center shaft seemed to have some play in it. Got it all apart and impeller looked great but as you can see the bearings may need replacing. Went to the parts store and the will have them at noon tomorrow.
I think this has become an addiction.

Bearings can be vocal when they are not happy.
