1971
CV16 and Challenger still had metalflake rim to match boat color, like 1970 style.
The 1971 CV19 and CV21 have Mercury Ride Glide square shaft wood (plastic ?) rim and metal spokes, with chromed cap.
1972 style wheels look the same as 1971 wheels and are used on all models / CV16, CV16SS, CV19 & CV21.

All 1971 thru 1975 CV21 & CV19 are listed as "Mercury Ride Guide" so cap might have ride glide sticker.
Mercury Ride Glide would have the square shaft on older versions.
Thay also have a splined shaft version.

1976
Wheel changed to a light tan colored rim with solid chrome spokes and a tan colored center cap.
All helms are listed as Mercury Ride Glide. I think all were now keyed taper shaft helms.
My 1976 CV16 has this wheel and is keyed taper shaft.
CVC18 is listed as having a Morse Command 200 helm.
