Ok...its mostly just a guess.

The thing is, this boat has a measurement from the bow cap to the transom is 223"and 48" from the transom to the back 2seat, thats more room than I need to install the Mercruiser in it, makes me wonder if the transom is set further back on the outboard hull than the intimidator, or is the seating section more forward ?  Barb's boat is not here now so I can measure it, she took it down south couple days ago.

Thanks Tim, Alot, thats just what the measurements of this boat is, but it sure looks longer than an Intimidator back there, I was beginning to worry about the balance of this hull with a Mercruiser package installed. What got me wondering is the bilge area in my Scimitar, it's only 38" from the back of the seat to the transom, thats was one of the reasons I move the transom back 6" on my other Scimitar, you could Hardly change a belt on that one.

I partially agree with Jerry, might be a lot easier to cut the dash off and slide that back a few feet instead of cutting it in the middle like you did with the GT160.

That is what he did with the 160. Because the second picture isn't a photoshoped picture of the first one, I assume it's already done.

I cut the GT out like I did to capture the little up-side down scoop thingies in front of the windshield, they needed to stay there,  and I'll cut the cvx up the same way, to maintain the lines of the bow, there is quite a slope in front of the windshield. It was actually easy to fillin the gap, just made the panels on a bench, cut to fit the hole and glass them in, all done from the top-side.

Jerry ... it's a chopped photo of the first photo, I haven't really done it yet.

I wasn't able to make a deal with them, the motor runs ok, but the boat it a project, floor stringers and surely a transom, the hull has been clear coated and peeling, I done done that twice this year.
