The ones at West Marine just came in on Friday I was told and they were selling fast.

They got 10 last week. They are supposed to get 60 more in this week.
I think this has become an addiction.

Can you utilize some sort of removable sticker plate?  I'm assuming because you do not want an adhesive sticker on the gelcoat?

You don't need a CO for the 23.

Im not going to do stickers or CO on my 23. That and the MN DNR still don't have the stickers.

We put a camper cover on the 23 that also covers the engine compartment and close up the cuddy. I am not taking any chances especially with the boys in there.

Good Call

Like I said in another post the first thing I did in the big boat was put in smoke and co detectors.

My 23 isn't enclosed at all. Also no one is usually in the cuddy.
I think this has become an addiction.

FYI if you did not already purchase the battery ones they got recalled. Apparently  noting wrong with the detector itself but something on the packaging so they can't sell them glad I picked up 2 already.

Another update.

The CO's are recalled even got an email from the company and want me to send them back.

Also MNDNR Still doesn't have the stickers that are required. I was told not to worry about having the stickers the officers know.  I then asked if there were any other LAWS that I did not need to comply with. They did not have a response.
I think this has become an addiction.

Yea, I got an e-mail to send mine back also, from the sounds of it the recall has to mainly do with the labeling on the housing not the actual functioning of the unit.

Now that is worth a chuckle, I'm sure their sense of humor is up there right alongside the DMV.

Look what I received in the mail today... The way it reads to me is if you have an enclosed cutty you need the detectors and stickers, if you have a boat over 19 ft. Just the stickers.

I believe you have to have a designated sleeping accommodatons,a galley area with sink and a head (toilet) compartment. Other wise no stickers are needed.

I believe our 23 do not need stickers, unless there are doors or some means of closing off.

They were sent to boat owner 19ft or more.
