It's very rough!
Floor is mush, Gel is very faded, & everything is full of mold.
Engine has cracked block & manifolds. I got it running but no water from outdrive.
I'm going to run water hose direct to engine, run it & check oil for water contamination.
If it's just small external leaks I'll try JB weld.

5.6 V8 Titan pulled it no problem. 17.5 MPG from Mpls down, 10.5 back!

Wish we could have tested it. At least the price was good. Pretty easy to wire weld. I did one last year about 8 inches a little at a time.

     Good News / Update!

I hooked hose direct to engine & it started right up. Ran for about 15 minutes, oil pressure 40 psi / water temp 150.
Both manifolds & port side block leaked but as it warmed up the leaks lessened to just a drip every 10 seconds.
Engine oil stayed clean with no sign of water.

As a welder, the leaks can be fixed by welding, but since they are so slight, I'd recommend the putty fix as well.  You can always go back and grind the putty off and weld them.  Bad thing about cracks are they have a tendency to grow once started.  Likely you could putty and enjoy for this season, then fix the manifolds over the winter. Hope to see it this August.

Thanks for the encouragement. I think I'll clean up cracks & try JB for this year.

Looks like I'll need bellows kit. might as well put the bearing in also.

Anyone tell me what's the best deal, I think I want to go with OEM Mercruiser parts.

so are you going to repair and transfer the current upholstery over to the new frame?  Or just biting the bullet on a new one?

Was going to ask, but forgot ... Ha Ha  ... Darn CRS again ...
Didn't Jeff's 23 come with new seat covers, that he replaced, and were his old ones in pretty good shape ?

Looks like he split the rear bench seat cover (like Shawn did) so seems like he'd have to use new vinyl.
