Looks like about the same as a Merc, except removing side cowl to get at shift shaft bolt.

It's still too early to sin e there was still ice last week, but already thinking of the right prop.

Based on engine model codes, it is a 2.00 to 1.00 lower unit ratio with a 5500 - 6000 WOT.

it's not a pad hull, and probably heavier, so max speed will not match cvx 16.  Currently running a stock 17 pitch aluminum.

Are.there some must try suggestions?

Yep .. looks like about 500 lbs. more ..
Maybe try a 17 P Raker ?

I know the Merc's used one power head for 90 thru 115 XS motors, Trent told me it was just a chip upgrade, maybe a ETEC 115 to 115HO upgrade is as easy as a chip .. bet it ain't a cheap chip though .. LOL

PropMD might also have test props

I have been happy with the work from PropMD, they corrected, cupped, and polished my Mirages on the CVX-18.  I will probably start with them.

I believe that your 115 HP Evinrude has 13 spline prop shaft.  You might try a 18" or 20" Raker prop.

Here is one on ebay: 13.5 X 18 Pitch Stainless Raker Prop for 40-140 HP EVINRUDE Johnson 0394758

I have a 20" Raker prop if you want to try it, but the pitch may be too high. My boat and motor weight in at approximately 1,100 lbs. in comparison to 1,700 show above.

The Michigan Wheel Ballistic 3 Blade Stainless Steel XHS II Propeller Series (9334XX) has 15 splines.

So finally the sun was seen and temp nearly 60 degrees.  Nice enough to poke around the garage.  I saw this little cord and box on the back of the boat.  I figured it was some kind of safety cutoff or such and I finally investigated. I pulled the cord to see what happened, and it popped out a little square.  I started pulling and a 2 1/2 x2 1/2 " aluminum bar kept coming out of the hull.  About 28 inches out it dropped down at an angle.   Nice, a square bar drop foot.  Well there were staggered openings on each side of the bar. Fold out, and presto changeo, a boarding ladder.  Whoo Hoo.

The reviews are in, and we like it.  The GTR160 hull has design hints of what we saw in the Carlson boat at the meet a few years ago, narrow center V with inverted cross section in the rear, almost like tunnels or outriggers that lift out of the water at plane, but not as pronounced as the Carlson.  Much more comfortable than the CVX-16 pad hull, but also not as fast.  It is wider than you would think and the interior feel spacious,  The front bucket seats are very comfortable.  The windshield is just tall enough to avoid getting blasted, the CVX-18 was the worst/best at putting the wind in your face.

The Etec is great.  Snaps to life barely touch the key, quiet and smooth, with a noticeable kick when it hits its power band about 4000 rpm and up.  Also sips fuel, tank level has hardly moved since we got it.  (or the gas gauge is broke??)

Next its time to tune it for 2 person running, has anyone tried or have an opinion about Michigan Wheel Ballistic Props? I see they have a hub kit for this motor.

I used a 21" pitch Ballistic on the 115 HP Merc on the V-153 Glastron. Decent prop but thin metal and hard to repair if damaged.
