Hi everyone,

Jay here, I'm new to this group but not new to Glastrons. I grew up tearing up Lake O'Brien in Crosslake, MN in my buddies Silver GT150.
I bought my 1st '78 Glastron Carlson CVX-20 Deluxe jet from the original owner back around '92-'94 I believe. Orange/Yellow which is my favorite of all color combo's.
As my family grew I moved to a Caribbean 21 Empress open bow jet. I have a great story about who I sold the CVX-20 to. Always wishing that I had never sold my CVX-20 I vowed to get another one.
I did just that in Jan of '22. I picked up a '77 CVX-20 Deluxe Silver/Gray jet in need of a complete restoration.
I'm in the process as we speak. The engine is ready for the dyno, interior is scheduled for June, and I will be re-spraying the metalflake myself. I'm an certified Bodyman but no longer in that trade. This will be the 4th boat that I have re-sprayed with metalflake but the 1st time I will be using Gelcoat. I'm hoping to have her back in the water by the 4th of July.
I've had jet boats since I was about 20, so if anyone needs any advice on jet drives feel free to reach out to me. Happy to help if I can.
