Thank you Gregg! I will make sure and get all of those as well!

As far as the differing options, would you advice one over the other?

and I have not figured out foam yet, still contemplating buying Terry's if I end up near Indianapolis this summer but not sure how much I should put under the floor and fill in the engine boxes

Where is southern indiana do you live?  I’ll be heading down to the Ohio river to go boating sometime in the near future. I’m building a motor for my boat, when it’s done, I hope to be down.

It would be hard to comment on other fiberglass supply company's without ever dealing with them, and just as hard to comment on your choose of materials (wood/composites, resin, glass).
Many of us have got our stuff through Express, so we know there good.

Glastron's and most other boats were slapped together as fast as possible and have lasted 30, 40 and even 50 years.
As long as you use good quality resin / glass / wood and take your time to mix and laminate, your boat should last another 50 years.

Wanted to jump back on here and post an update for myself as well as everyone who's helped me so far! Thank you all!

I got the new deck cut and glassed in - even got a compliment from a mechanic along the way!

Sent it off to get some motor work done (I know 0 about motors) and am getting her back next weekend to finish installing seats and interior paint then I will move onto the exterior which I am still trying to figure out.

Attached is a photo of the new deck (yay!)
Also, the motor is a 90hp Evinrude (replaced the 1980's 150HP Suzuki)...I don't think I could handle that many horses

Like I said, I need some help on the exterior-
I believe I have paint on top of the gelcoat...I would like to remove these and just put paint as I really do not want to work with gelcoat...and as bad as it is to say on a Glastron forum...don't want to restore it to original. With that said, is it a bad idea to sand down the old gelcoat/paint (not 100% sure what it is) and to simply paint it with say 1-part poly?

You could try something like this and get down to MF/Gel.

Once down to MF/Gel .. read thru this thread. He painted his CV23 and has info on prep.

Sorry - just now getting to the rest of the restoration
I will sand down with around a 36-grit sander and then apply the varnish remover you suggested - hopefully this takes off whatever it is will be stripped leaving just the fiberglass to be painted.

I have attached another picture in the hopes some mind much brighter than mine can tell me exactly what it is I am working with! I have done some research and can't seem to exactly figure out how deep these cracks and rough spots go.

Thank you all for your continued help! Such a long process!

Also, has anyone ever moved a steering column/wheel on a boat? If I could safely move it a few inches to the left, I would fix multiple seating issues - I have attached pictures of this as well.

Depends on clearances of rack or rotary steering helm to your tach/speedo.
You might have to plug holes and redrill or make a plate behind dash ..
Then make sure you have extra steering cable length to still reach motor.
