Nebraska outings remaining for 2015
« on: August 19, 2015, 09:53:51 AM »
Always like to get out, but I want to set a couple dates, one for a run to Cottonwood/float trip back.   Start at NP dodge park, power up river 26 miles I believe, then float back past downtown, then power back to NP dodge park.   In at 10:00am, lunch at 12:00ish.   Should make a day of it.  A Sunday maybe?   Let me know who can go and what dates.

The second trip is generally the end of season before storage in late September/early October at Carter Lake.   Show up anytime, play around, float, BS, whatever.   Could bring a grill and have a lunch/dinner?  Again, let me know what everyone would like to do for dates.
Obviously its still August, but school is back in, but would still like to get out to boat.  Brandon/Travis etal, any thing out your way we could make a daytrip?

Thanks Doran, Going to message him on FB later just to introduce myself.

Mike, I will check with Amber. Cottonwood is a must to get to for us before the end of the season. our next weekends off are aug 29th and 30th
sep. 12th and 13th or the 26th and 27th. With Phoenix's small oil leak I would just take a couple quarts of oil with us (i dont think we will have a problem though) and save the repair for winterizing.

We can mark it tentatively, I will firm that answer up shortly.   Gave a heads up to Tim, need to try and contact others in the area, but this board is all I really have.

My sister in-law is supposed to be in town that weekend, so Connie may not make it, but I'm on for Sunday the 30th of August.   Launch around 10am.   They may meet us up there, sis in-law is not fond of boats-not sure why.   Looking forward to it.   Now I have to figure out my outdrive issue before then.

He broke off the rudder, said it just bolts on.  He can get one for about $130, but I don't know if he has purchased it yet.  In any case, I think he can still run without it.  Still has the alternator issue to contend with.
