That's a really good price, I may check into that one. Could sell the trailer and motor. Ideally would like to find just the bottom half of the hull, that's all that I need. Being close by would help also.

There was a few cheap project CVX's in the 5 state area this summer, are you looking for a winter project or could wait till a good deal comes along ?
Are you going to put one of your CV deck on a CVX hull ?

I would call Georges Boat Repair in East Bethel. The handle alot of insurance claims. If they do not have anything now, they can be on the lookout for you.

I will keep my eyes open. Looking more for a haul away. The pickle will remain unmolested. The CV19 will get done but the CV16X is kind of a test subject for what's in store for the CV19. All I can say is the 16 foot speed record that David is holding on to will get over taken by a good margin with a 115 Tower on the CV16X. Going all out.

Have you done some quick measurements on CVX hulls & CV decks ?
Will the bow area fit with minor or major mods ?
Stern would be major mods ...
Will you use the deck off your yellow CV ?
I'm very interested to see what it takes and the outcome !

Measurements are rather close, transom will be the difficult part. Yes I will be using the deck from the yellow cv. I have a very good idea on how I'm going to get the transom done, when I'm done with this CV16X you won't be able to tell the difference unless you see the pad otherwise it will look every bit of a CV16. The biggest thing with this project is weight loss by large amounts and I mean LARGE. That's another reason for finding the cheapest hull I can get so if doesn't end up working, I won't have much into it.
