Then there is downtown St. Paul, the Minnesota River, and up to the Ford Dam. Just thinking of how much gas to bring - tanks on the rear floor. Joe, at what time do you need to be off the water?

Glass smooth water down to the Hastings dam and up to St.Paul !
Stopped down from the Ford dam to eat some lunch and talk .... BOATS ... What else ... LOL
Guy drove by in a Hammond, turned around and yelled to us about the big Red Wing meet ... We yelled back that it was at T.I. this year ...

GPS said 63.1 miles total, and I did it on one tank (18 gals.) ... guessing I'm down to 3 - 4 gals left ...
Best speed was 53.7 mph and that was early with a full load of fuel ... We did most of the trip at about 40 mph.

MAN ... I needed a perfect day on the water ... and that was it !

Post by: David CVX-16 on June 27, 2015, 08:40:04 PM: This was Greggs first time out this year and he picked a good day - sunny, not too hot, and the water was smooth. Gregg's upholstery job is first class. The whole boat looks brand new. Professional job. I love Gregg's boat and motor colors. Nothing new to test on my boat - the dashboard mounted Garmin on the suction cup Ram holder worked well, the battery in the Garmin went dead - will have to install a cigarette plug in under the dash to keep it charged, used the better of the 22" Raker's I have, flush trim tab, and 20 gallons of gas in 4 plastic tanks on the rear floor.

Best speed 55.1 MPH at about 5,400 RPM with one passenger, about 4 MPG. I love how the boat is balanced at top speed and that it handles so nicely. Thank you Art Carlson.

Don't feel bad Ross, I had to work a half of day yesterday and then work on my remodeling project on the house in the afternoon. Haven't launched once yet this year
