Title: Do you know what this could be?
Post by: 79tower on April 23, 2021, 12:21:52 PM
I had the boat on the water yesterday for the first time.  I noticed a few things that came up.  One is that when shifting into gear it wants to stall unless you put it in gear fast.  It was a little annoying and worrisome at first.  I guess it could be tuned to keep from stalling when going into gear.
The boat was running strong and got going pretty fast.   Although, after about an hour of running.  I noticed that the engine didn't want to get up to higher rpm's easily when going really slow.  I had to trim the motor and eventually it would get going again.  That didn't seem normal but I don't really have a means of comparing it to anything.  Does anyone know what this could be?  Other than stalling easily when shifting gears and the bogging down part, the engine seemed to run pretty strong.  I was using good fuel and the mixture of oil was 2.6oz per gallon.
