Looked at a bunch of pictures today ... some pretty sad and worn out GT 160's from 1968 - the trihull with bow seating and rear helm.

That is one sexy boat ... it really got my creative side going.  I'd love to find a really cheap hull, put lots of time and love in it ... and hang on to it for a long time.

Just thought I'd share that.

Yeah, I saw that one up there.
Found an old post, from '09, guy was asking $550 with a 65 hp Evinrude on it.

For whatever reason, that boat is really pushing some good buttons with me.  I'd love that boat as a 19 footer ... maybe 140 hp ...

But either way, that boat is a slick little water taxi.  That bow seating looks like a great place for some lazy fishing, too.

For such a rare model they come up pretty often.

Ya I've always liked that model too. "Water taxi" is a good description.

If I had one to play with for a while, I'd paint it like a 60's model NYC taxi cab ... awesome yellow (probably with flake) and some black and white checkerboard making the Glastron arc on the sides of the hull ...
