dorelse In the middle of the upright portion it is 2 pieces. Is there a reason you did it like that? My seat back is one piece.
Yeah, I'll add I'm likely going to re-work some if it...but...I had 2 months to go from an empty hull (no engine or outdrive in it) to a working usable boat last spring. Some of it was a product of the mad dash to our weekly vacation up to Park Rapids.
I wanted to add a large retractable tow pylon, without cutting into the engine cover. We tube with a couple of teenagers, and I already had some stress cracking (when I bought it) on the port side because there's no support if the rear bench is removed.
Added this:
So...I put in some additional bracing so the engine cover wouldn't be stressed. I'm not really going for 'original original' with Goldie, just original enough, but some changes for the way we use the boat. That pylon comes extends about 2 1/2 feet out of the hole and locks with a pin. Works well for tubing, waterskiing, etc...
I'm going to be reworking the seating this spring and that will likely all change and be one solid piece with room for the bow cover to store between the bench and the pylon.
Here's how looks when its extended. It pulls from the center of the boat more, and honestly, I don't like that little tow ring for pulling tubers.
