Some more progress:

Finally got the new louver kit in & installed the loft exhaust fan.

Didn't like the shelves against the back wall, so I changed that.

Got my lil security mirror in today too. So when I'm seated at my desk I can see out the front door(s). Cute ain't it.

Should've been working on canvas but took advantage of the cool rainy weather to do a lil on the loft, etc. Did straighten out a dudes mutilated bimini frame earlier. (He ran it into a bridge ...)

Carry on.

Don't you just hate it when those bridges don't move.
It's good you did the louvers now, it won't be long before you'll need a cool suit to get up in the loft. :D
I like your low tech solution, a mirror instead of a monitor.

Ya John the mirror's kinda neat. I thought $30 bucks w/free shipping was fair? Not the biggest one they make but I can see the front of the shop from door to door no problem.

I am not a company spokesman ...  But I got it from Superior Mirror in Fairport, NY. Customer service was great, timely delivery, and even though this is the indoor acrylic model the clarity is quite good. We don't need no steenking monitor! Heh heh

Yeah The loft has already been a lil toasty in the afternoon. Glad I got the fan in now. Makes a huge difference. Got creative'n rigged a line to the louvers so's I kin pull them open when the fan's not running. ie. When the wind's blowing from the East.

Check out what the previous genious did to the insulation with a paintball gun. What a freakin moron!

I don't think they make duct tape that wide GJ ...  I'm thinkin cover it up with canvas and/or vinyl?

Well the good news is the roof don't leak. (So's it weren't buckshot ...) We been gettin slammed with rain & wind by that trop storm since Monday. Today was the worst. Ain't seen a drip inside. WooHoo!

Startin some improvements on the 'lanai'. Got the go ahead from the landlord. Tore down the wall in the middle. Gonna tear down those shelves & get rid of the old paint'n used oil'n whatever else. A lil plumbing work is needed too.

Hey for extra credit identify that old fender leaning against the wall. Looks to me like it's off'n a old pickup truck. I'll try to 'member to take another pic of it tomorrow.

Couple more clues: Me thinks it's an old Mustang fender? Not in terrible shape either. Anybody need a fender for an old 'stang?

edit. Bronco mebbe?

Doug and Brandon, you're both right. Fender is from a "65/"66 Mustang with a 289, 2bbl or 4bbl.

yep  C5ZZ 16006-A  is The part #. It's a Ford oem replacement as the one that came on the car from the factory did not have the # on it.

Nice job. I know with Ford part numbers that the first digit is the decade an second is the year.

C=60's
D=70's
E=80's

So yea. C5 = 1965

Cool. Might be worth something on ebay.

Hey thanks for the info guys. 'Preciate it!

As luck would have it we have a new business in town. Ideal Classic Cars. Cats came rolling into town a few months ago & bought the old bowling alley/nightclub(s) known as "Yesterdays". Reportedly paid a cool mil for it. Did a total resto on the joint & are now open. Kinda a classic car museum a la consignment shop. Gotta buncha old gas pumps'n other memorabelia. Purty cool I spose.

Think I might advertise the fender there? Got it on CL.

Thanks again for the input J & J. My expertise on Mustangs goes back to my '86 ...

Here's a lil toneau cover I knocked out this morning for my buddy Joe Ferris. Aka 'Wheel'. (Well, that's what I call him ...)

Over the past 10 yrs he's had that dang frame on 3 trucks. The Sierra being his latest. Black Sunbrella Plus this time around, finally managed to beat it into his head that vinyl/laminate(s) don't hold up as long?

Nice work Doug! You got that cover tighter than a pair of Speedos. If you weren't so far away I'd have you fix the cover on my truck (snap broke off).

Hey Doug ... I know you guys in FL have year-round boating ... but there might be a market for your truck bed bimini if you were to hit up some construction sites ... I know I would have used one in San Antonio, and several of my carpenters would have, too.  Maybe you need to get the word out, offer one or two up on a trial basis - let these guys go jobsite to jobsite and use it, could bring some work your way.
