We are so out of here!
« on: March 19, 2014, 07:11:36 PM »
I've had enough already! Heading out tomorrow morning with boat for one of Chris Carson's "Super Mercs".  We will have the laptop so I will try to keep this thread updated. We are in no hurry except to have the boat ready for the Tavarse ACBS show on the 28th-30th. We are stopping on the way down at Bill Andersons in IL, and to meet Mark Smith just South of Atlanta.  Between the motor getting done on the 24th and the show I plan on meeting Doug, and an old buddy Si in Punta Gorda. Then across the Gulf Coast to Texas to see some old friends we haven't seen in 30+ years, then up I35 to see Red and Georgia, and hopefully have supper with them and Barb. Back here around the 4th or 5th??

I feel like I'm on technology overload with all the stuff in the Chrysler Aspen. It's going to be fun. The Sirius Radio has Bluetooth so I'm linked to my iPhone if anybody needs whether reports. (70 and Sunny, just like me) Stay tuned.

Sounds like the ultimate Glastron road trip. Keep us updated. Hope all goes well and safe. Can't wait to hear that motor run. Fire it up at Red's place....his neighbors don't care!

Sounds like fun... I love road trips!

Hey Jerry, not sure how far southwest in TX you're planning to go, but we're just a couple minutes off I35 north of San Antonio... if you make it to this area, and want to, you're welcome to have dinner with us as well and I'll probably have the CVX splashed we could take for a spin.  You could splash yours too if you want :)   Sending a PM with my cell... call anytime.

Have fun Kip! Not sure if you been there before or not. Brings back some great memories.

If you rent a Jeep head to the very southern point, Drive down some pretty ruff off road trails, and you can set foot on a green sand beach made partially of crushed emeralds!

Looks iike fun Jason! We are renting a minivan, so no off -road adventuring for us. Plan to see the hot lava flows at night which the boys will get a kick seeing. Been there once before, like that it is not so commercialized.  Looking forward to going back.
