Mark, good to know things are working out for you:)...and a nice looking Glastron!

Don't forget to take a set of bearings for that trailer... you never know what condition there in

Give me a heads up when you need those items...I would be more than happy to bring them down

Well the deal on the V166 just didn't work out, for a couple reasons (all on my part).  The good news on that is Don sold it to another Glastron enthusiast, who will be restoring it and bringing it back to life.

Not being one to give up that easy, here's one I'm going to look at this morning up near Lake Alatoona.  (About an hour north of Atlanta).  I've got dialysis at 12:30, so it's going to be tight on time making the trip!  (I'm an hour south of Atlanta, so two hour drive each way.)  The guy opens at 9AM, trailer is hooked up and ready to go.  I plan on being at his gate when he opens, gotta go throw some straps and stuff in the truck........did I mention it's FREE!?

Free boats are the ones that cost the most in the long run, but i couldn't pass up the deal.  We floated her off his trailer and onto mine, and I hauled tail south!  Made it back with an hour to spare, so it's all good.  Georgia State Patrol was out in force this morning making sure everyone drove "nice".

It's a 1978 model 17'6" in length, haven't had a chance to run down the model designation yet.........

NICE Mark !

Should be a very nice riding hull with lots of storage space and room to walk around.
Rated 140 HP, but bet ya could slip an XP150 on there ... LOL

Best picture I have is the 1977 model brochure.
Price & Spec is from 1978.

Yeah, no kidding. Hope the innards are all ok or at least most of them.
I thought you were getting out of boating when you put the 150 up for sale. Glad to see you still have the G/C bug.

Well, nicer than usual Jerry.  They'll still cut you off in a heartbeat, then brake-check you because you're following too close!  It's an exercise in patience, still not my strongest suit but I am getting better at it.   ::)

I couldn't stand not having a Glastron in the garage to work on this winter, I feel so much better already!
