Oiled teak is beautiful !
Once you get it looking good, you can just wipe it down once in a while, depending on how long and how much it's exposed to sun / weather.
First picture is my (Old) boat, the rest are from internet .. but you can see the huge amount of teak ..

I prefer oiling the teak. Just rub on a generous coat, let it sit awhile, and rub off the excess. Short work once a year.

Gregg that is a ot of teak to take care of.

Been working on the stuff out of the 27 about 1/2 done need to wait for warmer weather to do the inside the boat stuff I can not remove.

Every thing  is getting 4 coats not sure if it was ever touched since new.

The teak that doesn't see sun / weather will only need oiling once a year.
The exposed teak will need to be wiped down about every two weeks.
I kept a old  teak oiled washcloth in a zip lock bag and would wipe it down when it needed it.
Just don't let it get bad again .. and a quick wipe down will get it looking good again.

Ok your hired!

The stuff inside barley touch it with 220grit and it is ready to oil.

Ordered a triangle sanding attachment for the oscillating tool to get into all the corners.

Buffing is easier when the boat is right side up.   Seriously looks great, not sure I'll ever own one that wasn't a basket case to start with.

Little up date.  New gimbal bearings and bellows installed.  Joe came over last night to help with alignment and installation of drives.  Drives went on with a fight we feel there was very tight tolerance from coupler to drive shaft beings there is low hrs on everything. Thanks Joe for the help and Jimmy B for the adult supervision.
