The United Way sends a rep to find out why the most successful lawyer in town has never donated toward their cause. Lawyer answers well are you aware that my mother has a heart condition and can't afford her medication? Or that my brother was killed in a horrific car wreck leaving his wife & three young children pennyless? Or that my sisters husband has an inoperable brain tumor?
Rep stutters well no I didn't know that. I'm very sorry.
Lawyer says so ... If I didn't give any money to them what makes you think I'd give any to you?
