This morning i stood in line for an hour and a half to get a copy of cities 97 sampler volume 24.
I was only planning on getting 1 copy, but decided i would get 2 on the chance that someone i know missed out for some reason.
So im offering it up to my Friends here for what i have into it $28
the first pix is the line behind me at 7:45

Sorry, I'm an out of stater now, and I don't mean any disrespect by the question...and I know it goes to charity...

But...Why is this a big deal worth standing in line for?

no need to apologize, i guess it kind of a "cult" thing i guess
all recordings by these artists are live (maybe recorded at a sound check) or in the studio at the local radio station when the artist stops while on tour.
this is about the only place these versions can be found, its a limited run, all proceeds go to local non-profits.
lots of the tracks are acoustic versions, myself i always seem to gravitate towards music that's like this, live, acoustic, maybe "rough around the edges"
 so that's all

Yeah, I love the live tracks over the processed album stuff.  You get to see if an artist can really cut it without all the studio stuff making them sound good.

I had started buying these every year when they came out years ago but just stopped. They are one of a kind with never before heard versions so that is nice.

I put it on CL and some gal came and got it last night
