Congrats Doran hope it sells! So what is the new project?

There's only a project if it sells.  1 boat rule.  There's a potential project.  Mum's the word on that for now.

If it sells, it sells.  If not, I'm ok with that too.

A "project"?
I thought you were done with "projects"?
Also thought you were nuts over CVZ's. Suppose it could be another CVZ. I did see one somewhere today, with original interior but yours has a new motor. Hmmm...

Best of luck with the sale. Hope you get what you want!

I doubt I'll get it sold, but no, no projects, well, hopefully not a project...

Thanks!  I am 'done' with projects, I think.

I do love me a CVZ, but I love the CVZ b/c its a cool fast bowrider.  Yes, its the only 'Carlson' bowrider, but it did come in 2 models, and Glastron has some cool ones of their own.

Like I said, we'll see what happens.  :D

Soooooooo, if the bow cover isn't being included in the sale, then how much begging will it take to get you to sell it to me?  likely be two folks with CVZ's in NE that would be interested.

Actually, this time he is selling it with the cover.

I actually don't want a hard cover at this point. I got to see doran's old blue bell at Red Wing this year and like the idea of a removable vinyl cover that fits exactly where the hard cover would go.

If you check the new listing, the bow cover is included. I relieved Doran of the duty of taking it to the grave with him.  ;) if you want the cover, buy the boat!  ;D

Pulling for ya Doran... got some good activity it looks like.  No telling what happens in the last 10 min of these things.

Thanks Mark

If it sells, great!  I'll get to work on the next one, if not, I've found a good storage spot for the winter, and I'll be ready to get it running next spring.  I'm a carb rebuild away from having a seriously runner again.

In the meantime, we're all really enjoying the extra space in the garage!

Thanks, but its cool!  Its in a nice storage place, I like the boat (a lot) and don't need to sell it!  Now I can get the carb rebuilt and look forward to Spring!

Can't wait to see her back in action!

Hears to a better year for all of us in 2014!

Yep, I'm a carb rebuild away from being back to a great running boat again.  Though I'll probably switch over to a electric fuel pump at some point as well.

Come on, you know you want to switch out the intake manifold and go to a 4 barrel carb...  ;D

I'm not opposed to it, but I don't know how and don't have the timing light, etc to make it happen.

There is enough knowledge between a few of us in this part of the country, a collective mind could get it done.

Do you need to take the distributer off for intakes on those? On my 302 I can swap intakes leaving all that alone. Either way, I have a timing light if you need it and a torque wrench.

That's a nice thing Ford thought of but you can not do it on a Chevy as it goes through the intake. I also like having the distributor up front, easier to adjust timing.

I will agree with you on that

Plenty of people here who can talk/help you through it... once you're done you realize how easy it was and it's a good learning experience and knowledge/understanding to have in the future. Having it timed correctly in the end isn't a bad result either, not sure how it was set where it currently is, but it's nice to know you are at an optimum advance for performance and correct tune. But, all of that is only important if you want a four barrel!  ;D
