Hello everyone, Just bought a project that I need some parts for and am hoping someone here can help. I need the long grab rails for my CVZ 18 as well as latchs for motor cover, would also like to find bow cover but guessing everyone needs that, can anyone help?

Welcome to the forum !
There's a guy that post CVZ parts on Craigslist from time to time.
Can't remember what he has or where he is ...
Doran and Brandon might remember.
I'll post it in the GCOTD thread when he reposts ...

Welcome to the group!
There is a person in Ohio that claims to have a lot of parts including a bow cover. The bad part, I have talked to them several times and they think everything is worth double what you think it should be.
My suggestion is find a boat that is not in a condition to be saved and buy it for parts. They pop up from time to time. Of course, I should not be talking, My CVZ-18 was a borderline parts boat when I purchased it but I saw an open canvas to do with what I want. ;)
Here is a link to my rebuild in progress

FYI - If your looking for the stern grab rails, same part as what you'll find on a CVX18. Look at the top of this page and you'll see Shrom-CVX18 can sell you the engine cover/hood latches.

There is a CVZ parts boat in MI that the owner would sell very reasonably. I believe the parts you need are all there.

Thanks guys for the info and direction on the search! Brandon you got your work cut out for you for sure, but it will be worth it when its done. Mine is not quite that bad but bad enough.

I have these.. Came off a cv-16 and a cv-17 one is bent but the others are good and I have all the rest of the brackets that go with.

Just surfing about today, just thought I would add that I used Aero catch hold downs for my CVZ engine cover, couldn't be happier with them. Smooth and flush. Was under $100.00 for a set delivered. Also have locking ones for a bit more
