Head South through Lock & Dam #3, to Red Wing, Lake Pepin to Long Point on Lake Pepin
Pack lunch and eat on the beach at long point
**Please note that weather (high wind) and river traffic could affect this plan, details on Friday morning,
Also note there are several restaurants on the river as alternatives for lunch and supper, ask locals for details and directions

7PM - Friday Night 'Lights' on the River (Night Cruise)

Saturday:
Day Tripper Arrivals - **Be Launched and parked at the beach by NO LATER THAN 9:15AM
9:30AM - Safety Meeting
9:45AM - Head to the boats
10:00AM SHARP - Leave for Kinninnick State Park
Pack Lunch/Food/Drinks/Snacks
5PM - Group Cookout
Campfire & Social Time
Sunday:

Pay for camp sites and boat launch at the RV office.
Boat launch is included with camp site or hotel room.
Key to shower rooms is included with camp site.
There is not water or electricity down by camp sites, But is by rest room/showers.
With camp site or hotel room you can park boat on beach over night.
More then one boat will fit in large slips, T.I. is OK with that.
We park empty trailers on south end of camp site.
If you like to keep your boat on trailer at night, you can park it by your camp site.
Bring some fire wood if you have room in back of your truck, TI has fire wood but they charge for it.
If your new to boating on the Miss. and St.Croix rivers, ask around for some one that you can follow.
It's marked well, but easy to get into wing dam's or lose sight of marker buoys.
If you have never been thru a lock, also ask about it. Pretty easy if you know what to do.
PLEASE do NOT park trailers or car/truck in parking lot above camp area.
PLEASE do NOT park cars / trucks / trailers on mounds by camp sites. They are burial mounds.

Marina reservations open Monday Dec 16
I have 6 32' slips blocked off for "Glastron Group" they will be held until the marina fills up or an event is scheduled.
if you reserve a slip now it will be locked in at the standard price (event prices are higher)
there is another event that weekend so currently all the 40' slips are blocked, Hanna will let us know if one opens up to use as a group slip (would fit 6 small boats)
camp ground reservations open January 6, i will have sites 39, 40, and 41 for group gathering and food.
i have 10 more sites blocked for "Glastron Group"
if you reserve a site now it will be locked in at the standard price (event prices are higher)

i received this message from TI, looks like we get a discount on the slips.
if you reserved a slip with Glastron group you prob got a refund, if not call Chris.
if you have not and are going too make sure to use the discount code.

I just went on TI?s website, the campsite booking doesn?t work yet, but I see that Travis Tritt and Trace Adkins are booked for Friday, August 8

Banners are ordered, 3 3x5 and 2 4x8
We will be raffling them off as well as one older, generic banner that Mike donated. This is a great opportunity to get a nice banner to hang in your garage or Glastron cave. This raffle supports, keeping this forum up and running.

Anyone watch the river level? Was pretty high when we went the other day, kinni didnt have a lot of beach on the north end.

Looks like from the prediction the water is gonna be less than a foot lower than it was when you guys were out, so lots of water, we were out on Saturday did not check the north side of the Kinney, but the water was below the grills on the west side, there was beach on Tanglewood, and there was beach at the Nauti Hawg, the cove is totally filled in, but with that much water, we could probably go on the backside.

I"ve been watching them all year. The last time we ran the back channel past Mr. Sippi's the level at Red Wing was about 7.4'. I saw 5.8' on my depth finder so if we are close to that you guys might not see me in the no wake zones.....We also found a new Island we can run to in the event Lake Pepin is too rough. It is in the back waters but very easy to get to. I can post up some pictures and an approach route later.

St Criox will be down to a few feet above normal by sat so should be more sand at the kinni by then

Friday run?
It?s gonna be windy tomorrow so the plan is to stop at the new sandbar on the way to peppin.

Red is the path, yellow is the new sand bar, green are rock piles. There are metal posts out in the main channel that they sometimes have barges tied up to.

Not a lot of activity out here right now. Looks like we?re gonna be getting rained on till noon, so we?ll probably have a late start Plan on the group leaving at around if anybody?s ready to leave earlier than that and run in the rain that?s cool too.
