Doran -

Glad you finally took the plunge and yanked the tank out - trust me, you won't regret it!! Definitely try to reuse the original (as the guys have suggested) - it'll make everything easier. A couple days of heavy duty cleaners, water and vigorous shaking took care of mine - haven't had a tank related problem since. Good luck bud!

Alex - How'd you end up cleaning it out yourself?  I was thinking I had to get it resealed...but I'm all for saving a buck if I can do it myself properly.

KREEM!!
But let the pros do it. You don't want to pull it out again and you have to shake the tank with rocks or nuts and bolts. Easy on a small tank but gets harder as the tank gets bigger. Of course ya got a kid with a new mustang and nothing to do. He could enjoy that.

Jerry - I got a 3rd car to put gas in...I gotta save my pennies!  LOL.  (Yes.  I did it to myself.)

I have 8 mos. to get it done, so I'll let the pros at it.  I will say this, I'm leaving the tank accessible this time!!!
