Grinding under the bow was the worst part, otherwise it went smoothly. The cap also adds support to the hull while its empty

Thanks for this pic, it's a great reference. The hardest part for me isn't really the work, it's knowing where to stop. I'm paranoid about accidentally grinding through the hull while trying to get all the wood out. It's hard to tell where the floor was glassed over stops and the actual hull of the boat starts

Got into the transom a little today... she's seen better days. My dad and brother are trying to convince me to just do a partial fix, but I've never liked that idea and am leaning toward a full replacement, even though the whole starboard side seems totally fine. But I have noticed that the rot tends to start from the inside, so even if the outside looks fine, it could still be rotting on the inside.
