Put the new interior in to make sure everything fit and then dropped it off to get the upholstery done.(if i didn't do it now prob wouldn't get done until July) I just have a few more spots to finish up for body work then the final sand and Paint. And the new seat bases showed up last night. How tall are everyone else's bases these are about 8in tall they swivel 360 and slide back and fourth.
I think this has become an addiction.

Those look like nice sturdy seat bases. I like the cup holders you added too!

Lookin' good! Ya I believe 8" base is generally the rule in these things. Those look like nice beefy pedestals btw.

I agree, the fwd'n aft adjustment feature is nice. (There are days when I feel tall and then some when I feel short ...?) Just make sure when you slide the seat back'n swivel it, it don't bang into the gunnal or control.

Nice job so far. Cain't wait to see the finished product.

Carry on.

The question is Can a 32 yr old man crawl up inside the bow of a CVX 18 answer? Yes. But i would not recommend it. I had to get the bow eye out so there are no tape lines around it. Got to looking at it and the wood was pretty bad so out with the old and in with the new. Hoping to paint sometime next week fingers crossed.

Ordered the Flake today from Roth Flake 1Lb of Trippin Agent Orange and 4 Oz of Trippin Glass House. Also ordered my Clear coat form a company called SPI. Sounds like excellent stuff I could not find a single post and any forum or the internet that said anything bad about there products. They were nice to talk to and very helpful in helping me choose their correct clear that will have enough "open time" to apply the flake and will also have enough UV protection when it is done. Hopefully I can paint next week.

I should have the rear seat back from the upholstery shop tomorrow so I can finish up the fit, adjustment, and hidden latches i'm installing on the engine cover.

Got the rear seat it looks great. I may have him change the 4in foam on the seat bottom to 3in though Otherwise I think it is going to look great. The colors look even better in person.

I've had the folks I buy my foam from taper it before, it's a mattress supply and they got machines like band saws that can even cut circles .. looked Grear and more comfortable.  I have used my electric filet knife to cut the foam to taper's I want too, just put the side you cut on down-ward .. but your's looks good !

My advice (its cheap) keep the 4 inch foam in the seat bottom.  Might give the passengers better view and more cushion when you jump some wakes with the boat.  My CSS19 has that much foam in the rear bench bottom.  Can't wait to see the boat in finished form, great project to follow.  TS

4" is too tall for that kinda seat base. 3" medium-firm is what you want for seat bottoms. 2" medium density on the back ...

I finished up at about 2:30 am Flake on and 3 more coats of clear on the flake.
Hopefully going to paint the white this weekend Then sand the whole boat one more time and a final 2 glamour coats of clear to add depth to the paint. It looks great out in the sun.
