We have a company here in Germany that has the original rubrail. If anyone is interested I could order a few hundred yards and have it shipped ;-)

Hello G/C folks!

Shedding some light on a new rub rail vinyl insert for my 1978 Glastron Carlson CV23.

The Taco V12-0303 looked like it would be a close replacement, but proved to be too loose once installed. (See photos-read photo name)

I could not obtain samples from WEFCO. Note: WEFCO is rubber, not vinyl. 

The Eagle Moldings V-744-BK is THE TICKET! Perfect snug fit! Looks great! (See photos-read photo name)
What you see in the photos is a 1 foot sample piece to show the cross section and installed fit. I subsequently purchased 57' to go around my boat. (27' each side with 3' as spare)

Just a note: Eagle Moldings V-744-BK vinyl rub rail insert worked GREAT on my 1976 CV-19ss and my friends CV-16. Remember to heat with a hairdryer or heat gun for easy installation. This IS the stuff. Mark

After the first time, doing it cold and getting a blister? I put the whole roll in a bucket of hot water.
