Rare 1982 Glastro -Carlson CVX-17 (aka C-535) very light and fast ski boat, galv - $3,750 (Shelton)
https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/boa/d/shelton-rare-1982-glastro-carlson-cvx/7873814729.htmlThis is a 1982 Clastron-Carlson, as seen in multiple James Bond films. Radar clocked at 72 (by the dealer), it is a metal flake root beer top with yellowish stripes. It had pin-stripping, but someone removed it. I have always tried to keep it covered. This boat has taken even US Congressman for ski rides and other important people, who also have enjoyed it. The Evinrude 140 is the legal Coast Guard certified maximum engine size for this light boat. Seats 5, has a ski locker and glove box, two coolers in the back. It was running when it was stored and fogged several times, manually cranking the flywheel to circulate the fluids. To handle the torque I?ve added hydronic power steering ($1000+) which is sweet.
The trailer has two brand new tires and digital waterproof lights. It does need a $60 power trim and tilt motor.
I have been in the process of restoring it when both cancer and physical therapy malpractice forced a change of plans. Unfortunately I have never recovered enough from the malpractice to continue the job. The stringers and floor were professionally replaced ($2000), the seat frames need replacement, though the original frames are included for easy duplication. I have included new foam and the old upholstery coverings. My price is very fair when you consider that once it is restored this will be very special and expensively rare boat, great for shows too. Trailer, engine and boat add up. Ironically it still looks modern.
BTW the last picture of the Glastron entering into the yacht, that is an outboard but it shows where the status level appears to those in the know.
