Battery and fuel tank placement on GT150
« on: April 30, 2026, 08:48:59 PM »
Does anyone have a picture of how they have their battery and gas tank placed? I?m working on creating a board to mount the battery tray and tank on. I?ll also add a small bilge pump to the well.

Do a search for  " GT150 " .. Should be a few builds with different designs / setups

The bigger question is where do you want to put it?
When I made the gt-jet I put a 18 gallon tank in the bow, but it put a lot of weigh for the bow. So I just used 2-6gallon tank in the back like the out boards use.
Although when we were going a long distance it was nice to Carry the extra fuel.

When I redid our GT 150, I also put an 18 gallon steel tank in the front, the 150s with the outboard actually handle better with a little more weight in the front

the first time i had foam boxes and the bat sat in front of that but behind where the curtain would go, second time i ditched the foam and put it all the way back.
