It was the craziest thing. I actually saw it on the news as well as several of his friends. His cell started ringing off the hook. "Hey dude!" Your house is on TV and there's a bay boat with the trailer still attached on your balcony. I'll have to see if I still have the picture. I since built a new computer so it may be on my external back up drive.
He put an add in the local paper and after paying $1000 to gently remove it from the house, he had it professionally cleaned and detailed (insurance paid for everything later) and parked it at his company warehouse in Baton Rouge. He did find out that it was stored at a mini storage facility 4 1/2 miles away from his house.
Another house like his had a 12 point buck that unfortunately drowned but was on his 2nd story balcony.
On the north shore of Lake Pontchatrain (North of New Orleans) there were several boats that ended up 3, 5 and 10 miles from the lake. There were several ads on Craigslist stating that the boat or jet ski just "Showed up" during the storm. Some college kids renting a house had a CL list that stated "Bring two cases of Miller Lite and take the boat with you on your way out." It was a bass boat with a 112 on it.
