Not yet Jason, but heck of a good eye. That's exactly what he was opening in that pic!
We looked at that and no fuel. We pulled the rubber fuel line from between the fuel filter and copper line, cut the ends and reset it in case the hose clamps were letting in air. We had some fuel come from the line, but not a ton so used fuel from Brian's pumped into a water bottle to pour into the carb and finally found the fuel pump to be good as it would suck fuel just fine from the water bottle.
I got home and didn't have much time what with the little boys and all, but now I'm thinking my fuel gauge is shot (or the sending unit) as the whole time my gauge said 1/4, but when I pulled off the cover to the fuel tank and knocked on it with my knuckles it sure sounded hollow....
If it turns out that my gauge is bad and I was simply out of gas.... Well, I owe Brian a nice steak dinner!
I bought a nice 5 gal fuel tank yesterday that I'll fill on my way home. If it fires right up then I'll certainly feel sheepish and will gladly take the well deserved ribbing from the group!
. If not then more troubleshooting awaits!
