Let me be the first to say we're very glad you guys are still with us!!! When we were passing that barge, Brian's words about not getting in their way because we would lose and they would miss us kept ringing in my head! (No...just because my last name is "Bell" doesn't make that "ringing" an easy target pun for any of you jokesters) LOL
As scary as that was for you Ross, take comfort in the fact that it has become one of the "highlights" of the stories we've been sharing with so many people about this year's event. Adding in our wake jump where my wife's camera almost flew out of the boat (she dropped it when she raised off her seat), and Brian's dog rolling wake jump, as well as all the other fun we had and wonderful people we got to meet - and I think people we've been sharing these stories with are getting a new appreciation for a fun event and club most of them never knew existed!
I've been editing event video's like mad as time permits, but I thought using something powerful like "Adobe Premier" and other commercial programs that I already had was the way to go so I could title and all kinds of fancy edits, but found that takes way more time than I have available to input!
Since my LidCam already compresses and makes really nice resolution videos, recomposing is just a waste for my purposes(my opinion). Found yesterday that I had already downloaded a wonderful (and free) "trimming" program that keeps everything simple, and doesn't lose any video quality. Doesn't allow any frills like titles, and my sloppy camera work & editing will probably still put an insomniac to sleep, but it's more promising that I'll get the videos posted before next year's event this way too!!
Now (new to me)...to soon venture into that uncharted "posting on YouTube" area!
