Good to hear Doran. I think you and Goldie are meant to be. This is not the first time you tried to get rid of her and she comes crawling back.
I needed a reminder from the kids that my (now deceased) Dad and I really bonded over building the boat. Not that we weren't good before it, because we were, but he loved that boat. Even though I know he'd say, "Its just a boat, sell it if you want to"...I'm not there yet.
So yes, its supposed to be mine. I'll keep my eye out for a gx-150 project eventually.
Brandon - 2 reasons.
1) I made a promise to Wex that if he blessed me with the 2nd cover he found, I'd not mold and sell copies, thus devaluing both our boats values in the process. It would also not honor all the time & effort he'd gone through to find them.
2) There are enough CVZ owners who are 'good guys' that it makes sense to help them out...but everyone needs to keep in mind that from an purely economic standpoint, its going to cost me money in lost value in my CVZ. Supply & demand...simple as that.
That said, Wex freed me from that promise, and as a guy who works with fiberglass has agreed to make the mold and the reproductions.
We'll work on costs & prices this fall, and I'll take orders & deposits when we're ready.
The cover costs about $100 to ship each way...so just getting the cover to PA & back will cost $200, which means the cover to your door, before it even is made...is already $100...so in the end it may be cost prohibitive.
